Doc says Burger King menu is ‘worse than expected’ for health — with more than 120 ingredients in just one item

News RoomBy News RoomJuly 20, 20262 ViewsNo Comments

They’re dethroning the King.

While fast-food junkies may consider it high treason, a healthcare whistleblower is exposing Burger King for allegedly pumping its most popular menu items, including the Whopper, full of “toxic” and “banned” ingredients, some of which are found in Silly Putty.

Representatives for Burger King did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for a comment.

“Burger King hid the ingredients in their food for years, but we finally know what’s in it — this is crazy guys,” Paul Saladino, a double-board certified doctor of medicine, announced to his more than 3 million Instagram fans.

Seated at a table in one of the international chain’s locations, Saladino offered on-the-go grubbers a forensic analysis of the reported 85 components of a Whopper, which, per 2022 data, includes multiple seed oils, processed sugars and preservatives.

“In the bun, you have things like potassium iodate [which is] banned in Europe, the UK, Australia, New Zealand,” the influencer revealed, claiming the bread also contains Mono- and diglycerides. He explained that the chemical compound is a “preservative and dough conditioner which causes gut inflammation.”

“It’s not real food guys,” Saladino insisted before putting the King’s patties to the flame.

“They claim the burger is 100% beef cooked on a grill with no seed oils, but then they use a salt & pepper seasoning in the meat which has canola oil,” he said with disgust. “I can’t even.”

Saladino’s scathing review closely trails BK’s fiery “burger wars” with leading competitors McDonald’s and Wendy’s.

The viral food fight challenged industry bigwigs, including Tom Curtis, president of Burger King US and Canada, to scarf down their eatery’s tastiest meaty treat for social media clout. The big business beef, however, ended quietly with no clear winner crowned best.

Wendy’s, unfortunately, was named the No. 1 “least healthy” fast food chain by the World Atlas in 2025, outranking Taco Bell — which was recently fingered as a culprit in the cyclospora outbreak — Mickey D’s and Chick-fil-A. Burger King didn’t even make the top 10 list.

Still, Saladino didn’t mince words while breaking down the “chronic disease-“ and “obesity-“ inducing contents of the hotspot’s chow.

The doc served up a dissecting look into its Royal Chicken Spicy Sandwich, which he alleged contains “120 ingredients,” including “multiple dough conditioners, which can lead to gut issues, silicone dioxide, the nanoparticals of which may be inflammatory in the human gut [and] multiple seed oils.”

Turning his talons towards the poultry itself, Saladino continued, saying, “If that weren’t bad enough, [the patty is a] piece of processed chicken coated in flour and food starches, battered and fried in rancid oxidized seed oils, which have anti-foaming agents that are also found in Silly Putty, like dimethylpolysiloxane.”

“And three different types of sauces, one of which has over 25 different ingredients,” he added. “Guys, Burger King might just be the worst fast food restaurant I’ve ever seen.”

Saladino’s sickened viewers agreed.

“Look at the infinite list of ingredients. If that’s not a lab experiment, what is?,” quipped an irked commenter

“Murder King,” wisecracked another.

“If they don’t care about my health. Then I don’t care about their profits,” spat an equally outraged onlooker, in part, vowing to cease patronizing Burger King, McDonald’s, Wendy’s and Jack in the Box. “Girl, bye!.”
