DHS Secretary Kristi Noem taken to DC hospital ‘out of an abundance of caution’ after suffering allergic reaction

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was hospitalized due to an allergic reaction Tuesday, officials said.

Noem was brought to a hospital in Washington, DC, “out of an abundance of caution,” a Department of Homeland Security spokesperson said.

Sources familiar with the matter told The Post that Noem specifically requested an ambulance to take her to the hospital.

Noem is “alert and recovering,” the spokesperson said.
