Dallas Cowboys (+1.5) over CHICAGO BEARS
Things didn’t get much better for the Bears during Week 2.
Coach Ben Johnson’s team was throttled by his old friends in Detroit, losing 52-21.
Bears quarterback Caleb Williams wasn’t much better during his second go of it in 2025, completing 19 of 30 passes for 207 yards with two touchdowns and one interception during a blowout loss at Detroit.
Perhaps just as worrying, the Bears’ defense, which was supposed to be a strength this season, has looked shaky, and they get another strong offense this week.
The Cowboys were almost upset by the Giants, but they hung with the reigning-champion Eagles a week earlier.
With Dak Prescott playing at this level, America’s Team is just the better group in this matchup of mid-tier NFC teams.
Houston Texans (+2.5) over JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS:
I’m not panicking about the Texans’ 0-2 start.
They faced two likely NFC playoff teams — the Rams and Buccaneers — and only lost by one score in both contests.
Houston’s defense looks like one of the best in the league. Against two strong offenses, it has allowed just 34 total points and 531 total yards.
The Jags may be ahead of the Texans in the AFC South standings, but it hasn’t been an impressive two-game stretch.
Betting on the NFL?
The Week 1 win over the Panthers shouldn’t cloud our judgement at all — Carolina looks like the same team it was last season.
Then last week, Jacksonville let Bengals backup Jake Browning orchestrate a comeback win after Joe Burrow went down with a turf toe injury.
Records aside, the Texans are the much better teamhere, and I’m betting on that fact to show its face.
LAST WEEK: 1-1.
SEASON: 1-3.
