Cooper Flagg 1-of-1 debut patch card found in Rhode Island — it could fetch over $1 million

News RoomBy News RoomAugust 11, 20263 ViewsNo Comments

A 1-of-1 rookie card of Cooper Flagg was discovered in Rhode Island on a livestream on Monday night.

The Topps card, which is a numbered rookie debut patch autograph card, is believed to be worth potentially more than $1 million and was signed by Flagg in July during Fanatics Fest in New York.

A similar card of Pirates star Paul Skenes sold for $1.11 million in March 2025, and the jersey that Flagg wore during his NBA debut sold for $1 million.

The card’s patch is made from the same jersey.

The auction platform Alt has started a “bounty auction” for the card, though the card isn’t consigned to any auction house as of this writing. The highest potential bid as of early Tuesday evening on Alt was for $2.8 million; Alt says if the card is consigned to them, any bounty bid placed becomes binding as a standard auction begins.

The card was discovered during a livestream of an unboxing by members of RhodyBreakers, a division of the Baseball Cards of Rhode Island retail shops.

The group opens trading card boxes for clients on livestreams.

“And the special patch is… oh my God… there it is,” Christoper Card, a Rhody Breakers member, said on the stream.

Card added that the pull was a “unicorn” for the group.

“We’ve had some good ones, but a big pull for us is 15-20 grand. This is just a unicorn,” Card told The Providence Journal. “This is one of the most anticipated cards in modern card history.”

The Mavericks already announced they would offer a “bounty” to whoever found the Flagg card.

The Mavericks said they would give the finder premium lower level tickets for 32 years, a signed, game-worn Flagg rookie jersey and a postgame photo with the star.

The team will also send the fan to Boston to see the Mavericks play the Celtics — with round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations and tickets to the game included.

Dallas will also set up a private photo shoot with the Rookie of the Year trophy, the Larry O’Brien Trophy for their 2011 NBA championship and give the fan a VIP tour of the Mavs practice facility and a meet and greet with the players.

Lastly, the finder would get a “private basketball experience” for up to 10 guests at American Airlines Center.
