The 2025 season didn’t go quite as planned for the Kansas City Chiefs.

After their third consecutive Super Bowl appearance in February ’25, Patrick Mahomes and co. missed the playoffs for the first time in 11 years last season.

“I think offensively we weren’t consistent enough throughout games,” Mahomes, 30, shared in a press conference after undergoing knee surgery. “…we’ve got to be better, and that starts with me.”

And while the talented quarterback is shouldering a lot of the blame, General Manager Brett Veach got to work this offseason to make sure that Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Creed Humphrey, Chris Jones and Nick Bolton got all the support they needed.

These past few months, Veach went on a spending spree and brought in Super Bowl MVP running back Kenneth Walker III, safety Alohi Gilman, defensive tackle Khyiris Tonga and cornerback Kader Kohou to shore up Andy Reid’s already-talented roster.

Now all they have to do is win.

They have their work cut out for them, though. One might think that due to their lackluster 6-11 record, they’d have an easy schedule.

Unfortunately, that couldn’t be further from the truth. According to Yahoo Sports, Kansas City has the fifth-toughest path to the postseason of all 32 teams in the NFL this coming season.

Just a few of the most difficult opponents on their docket for this coming campaign include Bo Nix’s Denver Broncos (Sept. 14), Justin Herbert’s Los Angeles Chargers (Oct. 18), Drake Maye’s New England Patriots (Dec. 21), Brock Purdy’s San Francisco 49ers (Dec. 27) and Francisco Mendoza’s Las Vegas Raiders (Jan. 9 or 10) all of whom are scheduled to swoop into GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

If you want to be part of the Chiefs Kingdom and see if Reid’s roster can rebound, tickets are available for all eight 2026 home games at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium as of today on SeatGeek.
