Hollywood mourned the deaths of some of its most legendary stars in 2026.
In June, legendary music executive Clive Davis also died at age 94 following a hospitalization for an upper respiratory infection. At the end of the month, news broke that the Village People lead singer Victor Willis had died. Actor Joby Baker died at age 92 later that month.
The following month, G.R.L. member Lauren Bennett died at age 37, while Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman star Louise Lasser died at 87 and Bonnie Tyler died at 75. Emergency!‘s Randolph Mantooth and Police Academy‘s Peter Van Norden also died in July. They were 80 and 75, respectively. Later in July, South African soccer star Jayden Adams was found dead at age 25 mere weeks after competing at the World Cup.
227 and Sanford and Son actor Hal Williams’ death at age 91 was announced on July 15, days before Oscar winner Brenda Fricker‘s death was announced. Godzilla vs. Kong’s Kaylee Hottle also died later that month after being involved in a car accident.
The Mask director Chuck Russell died unexpectedly on July 22, one day before NFL alum Jordan Devey‘s family confirmed his death.
