Cassie No Longer Resides in U.S., Doesn’t ‘Intend’ to Ever Move Back After Diddy Trial

News RoomBy News RoomJune 3, 20260 ViewsNo Comments

Cassie has moved out of the United States following ex Sean “Diddy” Combs’ trial.

According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly on Tuesday, June 2, Cassie, 39, declared in a May 1 filing in her lawsuit against male escort Clayton Howard that she is “not a resident of California.”

The singer (full name Casandra Ventura) now lives “outside of the United States” and does “not intend to move back,” per the docs.

The document also stated that “it would be significantly more convenient” for Cassie to “travel to New York,” where her legal team is based, instead of flying to California for any matters regarding the case.

No additional details regarding Cassie’s current place of residence were made available via the docs and at the time of publication.. TMZ was first to report.

Us has reached out to Cassie’s spokesperson for comment.

News of Cassie’s relocation comes one year after she took the stand in Diddy’s highly publicized trial. In September 2024, Diddy was indicted on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has vehemently denied all accusations and pleaded not guilty.

During the proceedings, which took place in 2025, Cassie testified in the case about the alleged nature of their relationship. The exes dated on and off for 11 years until calling it quits for good in 2018. Cassie previously claimed in a 2023 lawsuit that Diddy sexually assaulted and physically abused her. Diddy denied the allegations before they settled out of court within a day of her legal filing.

Diddy was ultimately found guilty of two counts of transportation and acquitted on the remaining charges by a jury. He is currently serving a four-year prison sentence.

At the time of the trial, Cassie was pregnant with her and husband Alex Fine’s third child, a son whose name has not been publicly revealed. The couple are also parents to daughters Frankie, 7, and Sunny, 3.

“There aren’t words to describe how grateful I am that I get to do this life with you! The laughter and pure joy that I get to experience with you is beyond any of my dreams and manifestations,” she wrote via Instagram in March 2025. “You’ve taken care of me and my heart like no other, you’re hands down the best girl dad and I’m SO excited to see you now become a father to OUR SON!”

Fine was by Cassie’s side as she took the stand as a witness.

“Over the past five days, the world has gotten to witness the strength and bravery of my wife freeing herself of her past,” the MobLand actor said in a statement shared in May 2025. “There has been speculation online surrounding how it must feel for me to sit there and listen to my wife’s testimony. I have felt so many things sitting there. I have felt tremendous pride and overwhelming love for Cass. I have felt profound anger that she has been subjected to sitting in front of a person who tried to break her.”
