Brooke Hogan shut down rumors that she has a “thing” with her married HGTV costar Scott McGillivray.
“People looooove to speculate,” Hogan, 37, wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, April 29. “There’s been a lot of people commenting on posts of me and Scott suggesting we have a ‘thing’ going on. And honestly, it’s just mean and hateful. (But sorry we’re so funny and adorable on camera😌).”
The two are currently starring as teammates on HGTV’s Rock the Block, where four teams — each featuring a renovation expert and a celebrity partner — compete to fix up identical Las Vegas homes on a $275,000 budget. (Season 7 of Rock the Block also features Taniya Nayak and 98 Degrees’ Drew Lachey, Mina Starsiak Hawk and NFL star Vernon Davis, and Kim Wolfe and Southern Charm’s Chelsea Meissner.)
Hogan tried to make light of the social media rumors by sharing a carousel of photos of McGillivray, 48, with her husband, Steven Oleksy, including a humorous shot of her Rock the Block costar literally feeding her spouse.
“So for those people [spreading rumors] — I’ll just leave you with these pictures of Scott and my husband. If you’re worried about anyone, worry about my hockey player husband stealing his sweet Canadian heart,” she joked.
McGillivray chimed in the Instagram comment section, clarifying, “I never fed Brooke like this! Just Steve.”
The Income Property host tied the knot with his wife, Sabrina McGillivray, in Vaughan, Ontario, in June 2008. The McGillivrays share two daughters — Myah, 14, and Layla, 12.
Meanwhile, Hogan wed Oleksy in June 2022, but the public only found out about it 18 months later. They welcomed twins, Oliver and Molly, in January 2025.
“So… just been staying off socials cooking these two cuties. Oliver Andrew Oleksy + Molly Gene Oleksy [were] born January 15, 2025,” she shared via Instagram at the time. “Our hearts have been made whole by the arrival of these two sweet souls we get to love. God is good.”
The twins arrived only a few months before Brooke’s father, Hulk Hogan, died at age 71 in July 2025 from a heart attack, with atrial fibrillation and chronic lymphocytic leukemia as underlying causes.
Earlier this month, Brooke exclusively opened up to Us Weekly about feeling disconnected from Hulk in the final months of his life. (The two were estranged for around two years, with Brooke having removed herself from her dad’s will before his death.)
“He said, ‘You go this way, I go that way,’” Brooke told Us. “That hurt. I think that’s what makes me the most annoying member of my family. They know that I will just beat you up until you do the right thing. I could see what was happening with him with the people around him. I could also see his potential and see how life could be. And he just wasn’t there.”
She added, ”I was pregnant with my twins. I was newly married. I just had to take a break.”
Brooke admitted in her Us interview that she still has doubts about whether she could have fixed her relationship with Hulk if he had lived.
“I don’t know if we would have ever reconnected, even if he were alive, because of the mindset he was in,” Brooke explained. “He would have had to have a change of mindset and a change of company. I don’t know if he was there. I don’t know if he was willing to do that.”
Hulk was married to yoga instructor Sky Daily at the time of his death. (The former WWE champion shared Brooke and her younger brother, Nick Hogan, with first wife, Linda Hogan, and later was married to Jennifer McDaniel from 2010 to 2021.)
