Brittany Cartwright Claims Jax Taylor Was ‘Aggressive’ at Son’s Orientation Before Restraining Order

News RoomBy News RoomAugust 28, 20260 ViewsNo Comments

The Valley star Brittany Cartright claims she had a “hostile” interaction with her estranged husband, Jax Taylor, shortly before filing a request for a temporary protective order.

In her Thursday, August 27, motion obtained by Us, Cartwright, 37, claimed that she and Taylor, 47, jointly attended a school orientation for their 5-year-old son, Cruz, around August 10.

“Jax became visibly aggressive and hostile towards me during the orientation in front of others and called me ‘gross,’” Cartwright claimed in the court documents, alleging that Cruz’s nanny and future school administrators were also present. “I started recording him to document his behavior. His behavior at the orientation made everyone rather uncomfortable.”

According to Cartwright, Taylor “has a tendency of not being able to control his anger and emotions.”

Cartwright’s request for a restraining order was granted by a judge, requiring Taylor to stay at least 100 yards away from his former spouse. (Taylor has not publicly addressed the order or the accusations. Us reached out for comment.)

Cartwright and Taylor were married from 2019 to 2024, and their divorce is still ongoing.

Despite their separation, Cartwright alleged that Taylor has exhibited a “pattern of acts of domestic violence” toward her.

“Although Jax and I have now been separated for more than two years, his pattern of committing acts of domestic violence against me has not stopped,” she claimed in Thursday’s filing. “During our relationship, his abuse included threats of physical violence, actual physical aggression, destruction of my property, degrading and humiliating verbal abuse, controlling behavior, invasion of my privacy and financial abuse.”

Cartwright added, “As of the date of separation, the manner in which he abuses me has changed, but the pattern of abuse has continued. He now uses our required communications concerning Cruz to harass and threaten me, he makes threats 17 of public humiliation on social media and he continuously confronts me during custody-related interactions as additional means of intimidating, harassing, and disturbing my peace.”

Taylor has previously denied that he’s prolonging their divorce proceedings and intentionally intimidating Cartwright. Instead, he argued that the Special Forces alum was sabotaging his career.

“I’ve stayed silent for the past year out of respect for Cruz and because I believed taking the high road was the right thing to do,” Taylor told Us in a statement earlier this month. “Staying silent while Brittany continues to lie about me publicly and find any opportunity to humiliate me has been incredibly difficult.”

He added at the time, “Every time I’ve been presented with an opportunity to rebuild my career, those opportunities have been interfered with by Brittany. She has contacted networks and brand opportunities I had secured, resulting in jobs being jeopardized or lost. Her actions have directly impacted my ability to work, support myself and earn a living.”

A source close to Cartwright, meanwhile, denied the accusations and told Us that she “is and always has been the victim.”

“Watching someone continue to blame Brittany for the consequences of his own actions is beyond disappointing and frustrating,” the insider told Us. “Brittany is not responsible for his behavior, and she never has been. The accountability lies with Jax, yet he continues to lie, deflect, and refuse to take responsibility for the damage he’s caused.”

If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, please call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 for confidential support.
