Bills fans notice incredibly unique broken table detail in new stadium

News RoomBy News RoomJuly 24, 20263 ViewsNo Comments

Bills Mafia’s broken tables have found a home inside the new Highmark Stadium.

While getting a special tour of the new stadium that has yet to debut, fans posted videos showing a large broken folding table displayed on the first level of the concourse.

The decorative piece appears to be a massive folding table, with onlookers claiming it is 20 feet tall, giving fans the ability to walk under it and enjoy food or drink in its viscinity.

Bills Mafia has become infamous for jumping on folding tables, and subsequently breaking them, since a video went viral of a Bills fan picking up and slamming a Patriots fan on a table in 2015.

Some fans also point to a video from a week earlier of a member of Bills Mafia purposely dizzying himself by spinning around a wiffle ball bat before running into a bus, as the inspiration.

Regardless of which of those stories, if any, is true, the general consensus is that the tradition started in 2015 and has been a staple of being a Bills fan ever since.

Countless former players and celebrities have also partaken in the table-breaking festivities, including former Bills wide receiver Andre Reed, Jason Kelce and the entire CBS “NFL Today” crew.

Highmark Stadium will officially open its doors when the Bills host the Lions in Week 2 of the 2026 season.

The stadium cost $2.1 billion in total, using $600 million in taxpayer money and another $250 million from Erie County, where the stadium was built.

In a 2024 interview with The Post, former Gov. Andrew Cuomo advisor said the investment was a deal that “was great … if you are the Bills’ owner, but not so for the people of Buffalo or the state.”

The major backlash from fans wasn’t the price to build the stadium, however, but the cost to see a game in it.

The cheapest tickets for the Bills home opener are over $600 at SeatGeek, and that’s to be in the upper bowls of the 60,000-person stadium.

One fan told WIVB News 4’s Rob Petree that he will “probably never see a game [at the new stadium]” because of the prices.

The new stadium plays a part in the rise of ticket cost, but so does the hype around the team.

The Bills finished 12-5 last year, but after a loss to the Broncos in the Divisional Round of the playoffs, they moved on from long-time head coach Sean McDermott in favor of offensive coordinator Joe Brady.

Brady has been credited with aiding the impressive development of quarterback Josh Allen, and fans are excited to see what he brings as a head coach.
