Firebrand GOP Rep. Nancy Mace scoffs at ‘utter apocalypse’ over her wild arm ink

News RoomBy News RoomAugust 17, 20262 ViewsNo Comments

WASHINGTON — No use crying over spilt ink.

Firebrand GOP South Carolina Rep. Nancy Mace on Monday laughed off the internet’s meltdown over the jaw-dropping new tattoos all over her arms.

Mace, 48, brought out her heavily inked guns during her new YouTube show last week — and they took social media by storm, with critics on both sides of the political aisle mocking and panning her rebellious new look.

“The utter apocalypse over my biceps is funny,” Mace wrote on X after right-wing pundit Laura Loomer jumped to her defense.

“Thoughts and prayers to all those affected by my sleeves,” the congresswoman wrote in a separate post, which showed the opening line of Virginia Woolf’s famous novel, “Mrs. Dalloway,” tatted on her left bicep.

Mace added, “Made the mistake of opening my social media this afternoon. Some of yall are OUT OF CONTROL.”

“My biceps should NOT be a news story,” she argued. “We have more important things to worry about.”

Mace said she plans to “address the controversy” Monday night on her YouTube show.

Mace actually got the ink months ago but kept it covered up with sleeves while in the public eye until late last week.

Thanks Laura! The utter apocalypse over my biceps is funny.

The pol, whose term in the House ends in January, showed off the tats in a YouTube video of her show, “Get Maced,” where an introductory montage included clips of her tattoos and her posing in a bikini.

The South Carolina Republican previously opened up about her tattoos in an interview with Politico earlier this year, saying she got nine of them while going through a turbulent period in her life.

She described them as “the pain that I need to feel” as well as a way to “reclaim” both her identity and body.

“So my story is I am totally broken,” she candidly said.

“I have PTSD over what I’ve been through.”

Mace recounted her dealing with an exodus of staffers who trash-talked her to the press and the breakup with her fiancé, among other recent rough experiences.

She has previously accused her ex-fiancé and others of sexual assault and rape. Her ex has since sued her over those claims, which were made on the House floor, a situation that triggers congressional immunity for her under the Speech or Debate Clause of the Constitution.

Mace unsuccessfully vied for the GOP nod to become governor of South Carolina, finishing in fifth place.

She ended up endorsing Attorney General Alan Wilson in the runoff.
