Bettors have officially lost their minds picking Giants as Super Bowl 2027 winners

There’s no official winner of the NFL Draft, but the Giants seem to be the team that came out ahead among all 32 teams in the eyes of the betting public.

Since the draft this past weekend, the Giants are the most-bet team to make the Super Bowl in the NFC at DraftKings and the most-bet to hoist the Lombardi trophy on BetMGM.

That’s a lot of faith for a team that ended the 2025 season with a 4-13 record and enters next season with a young quarterback, new head coach, and two key skill players — Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo — returning from season-ending injuries.

The Giants are 66-1 to win the Super Bowl at BetMGM, and they are tied for 21st in the NFL. At DraftKings, their odds of winning the NFC moved from 40-1 to 35-1.

Their season outlook at the sportsbooks is modest: BetMGM has the G-Men tied with the Commanders for the lowest win total in the NFC East and they are +260 to make the playoffs.

So what’s causing the surge in Giants futures? Big Blue entered the draft with two top-10 picks, one second-rounder, one third-rounder, and three picks in Round 6.

They ended up with ESPN’s No. 1-ranked overall prospect, edge rusher/linebacker Arvelle Reese at No. 5, and the top-ranked offensive lineman, Francis Mauigoa, with the No. 10 pick.

They also picked up the fourth-ranked cornerback, Colton Hood, in Round 2 and the 11th-ranked wide receiver, 6-foot-4 bully Malachi Fields, in the third round.

Whether these players will be enough to swing the Giants’ fortunes from picking at the top of the draft to competing for a Super Bowl in February remains to be seen.

Head coach John Harbaugh sounded confident that the team was better, but he seems content to let the results play out on the field this fall.

Betting on the NFL?

“I think if you look at the draft and you want to talk about results, we’ll talk about results down the road,” Harbaugh said at a press conference after the draft. “You don’t know until we get out there and start playing.”

“On the surface, right now I feel great about it,” the Super Bowl-winning head coach added. “I don’t feel we could have done any better. I think we made the most of the draft, made the most of the resources we had.”

Why Trust New York Post Betting

Malik Smith has been immersed in the sports betting industry since 2017. He’s a data nerd with a particular focus on the NBA and combat sports. He spends his weeknights in the winter looking for edges on plus-money NBA player props.
