After dropping James Cameron’s billion-dollar blockbuster Avatar: Fire and Ash and the Pixar charmer Hoppers last month, Disney+’s July slate is less packed with new releases of theatrical hits.

New additions include Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, the newest entry in the evergreen fantasy franchise, and the superb 2016 remake of the ‘70s cult classic, Pete’s Dragon, starring Bryce Dallas Howard and the late Robert Redford.
