3. ‘Ocean’s Eight’ (2018)

Who says being a thief is purely a man’s game? Not Debbie Ocean (Sandra Bullock). Her big brother, Danny (George Clooney), was successful at stealing from the rich to give to himself, and Debbie wants to do the same. She has her eyes on the Toussaint, a 150-million-dollar necklace that will be featured at the upcoming Met Gala. She needs help, though, so she recruits an all-female crime group to help her snag it. On paper, they should be successful, but things get complicated fast, and Debbie is soon faced with the very real prospect of spending the rest of her life behind bars.
A spinoff of the Ocean’s Eleven films, Ocean’s Eight is, in some ways, better. The plot involving the Met Gala allows for plenty of opportunities for surprises, not to mention gratuitous cameos, and the thieves Debbie assembles are more charismatic and less cookie-cutter than the ones in the Ocean’s Eleven trilogy. With a cast that includes Helena Bonham Carter, Sarah Paulson and Rihanna, Ocean’s Eight is a high-fashion heist film that will steal a smile or two from you when it’s over.
2. ‘The Drama’ (2026)

We all have our secrets, but Emma Harwood’s (Zendaya) is a doozy. She almost did something in her past that would’ve been awful, but she decided not to do it. She thinks that makes her secret OK to tell others, particularly her fiancé, Charlie (Robert Pattinson), but Emma is dead wrong. Charlie and the rest of her friends are shocked she’s capable of such an act and reevaluate their ties to her. For Charlie, he has to decide whether or not she can marry someone he doesn’t even really know.
The Drama is one of the most talked-about movies of 2026, and with good reason – it takes a hot-button issue and generates plenty of, well, drama out of it. Part of the fun is experiencing the reveal of Emma’s secret yourself, but what isn’t so secret is the film’s great performances by Zendaya, Pattinson and Alana Haim as one of their friends. The Drama is a satire with bite; it might offend you, but it’s guaranteed to entertain you.

Joe Allen (Robert Walker) is a soldier who has only two days of leave in New York City before he’s called back to the front lines. That’s enough time for him to meet Alice Mayburry (Judy Garland), a young woman who takes an instant liking to him. As the two wander around the city, their quick bond transforms into something deeper. But the clock is ticking, and even if what they feel is true love, they don’t have much time to enjoy before Joe leaves and faces an uncertain future fighting Nazis in Europe.
The Clock is a sweet World War II romance that doesn’t have a trace of cynicism. Instead, it’s a deeply romantic film that asks you to accept the possibility that two strangers can immediately fall in love with each other without any ulterior motives. Directed by Vincente Minnelli, the film is a rare non-musical showcase for Garland, who has one of her best roles ever as a doe-eyed woman who will do almost anything for love. Sentimental but never overbearing, The Clock is a classic, one-of-a-kind romance that should be enjoyed in 2026 and beyond.
