The UCLA Bruins secured their first-ever women’s national championship in program history by dominating South Carolina with a 79-51 blowout victory on Sunday.

Lauren Betts and head coach Cori Close capped off an incredible season with a decisive 28-point win against the Gamecocks.

While the Bruins emerged victorious, we take a look into the crystal ball toward next season.

To no one’s surprise, a juggernaut from the Big East currently has the best odds to cut down the nets next April. Geno Aureima and the UConn Huskies carry +160 odds on FanDuel Sportsbook to win it all in 2027.

Next, we have the runner-up of this season’s title game, South Carolina, alongside USC, both at +500. Final four semifinalist Texas is the next closest at +550 odds.

2027 Women’s national champion odds

South Carolina +500
USC +500
Texas +550
Michigan 10/1
LSU 16/1
Vanderbilt 16/1

Ohio State 50/1
Notre Dame 50/1

Louisville 50/1

Despite their recent success, UCLA has 50/1 odds of running it back, largely due to Betts and other main contributors graduating.

The Huskies are a clear favorite every season, considering they dominated this past regular season with a 34-0 record entering the Dance and will bring back All-American Sarah Strong.

UConn’s reign can also continue with the help of a prized recruit slated to join the roster.

Women’s college basketball fans will soon get to know five-star prospect Olivia Vukosa, a two-time New York Gatorade Player of the Year.

Speaking of prized prospects, the Trojans will welcome back one of their own, future WNBA star Juju Watkins, who missed all of last season recovering from a knee injury.

Watkins will be a contender for National Player of the Year, and alongside Jazzy Davidson, USC could definitely make a splash in next season’s tournament.
