Following a frantic MLB trade deadline packed with player movements, the landscape for the World Series race has taken shape.

The Dodgers remain the clear frontrunners at +150 to secure their third straight championship, reinforced by the acquisition of new ace Tarik Skubal.

Their pitching staff appears exceptionally potent, bolstered by the addition of Skubal, who now joins elite arms Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Blake Snell, Tyler Glasnow, and Shohei Ohtani.

Dave Roberts’ crew remains the heavy favorite to emerge from the NL West as they pursue an historic three-peat. On Monday, they also added Royals pitcher Kris Bubic to further distance themselves from the pack.

Positioned as the primary threat and only team relatively close to Los Angeles, the Yankees sit at +600 odds after landing Luis Garcia Jr. from the Nationals and Heliot Ramos of the Giants.

With stars Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, and Cody Bellinger still sidelined, Brian Cashman swung big for Garcia Jr., whose NL-leading .560 slugging percentage is expected to help keep New York’s bats afloat until their key hitters return.

Ramos also brings a veteran boost to the Pinstripes outfield.

Meanwhile, the Brewers (+900) and Braves (10/1) are close behind, carrying the third and fourth-best odds on the board.

Currently tied with the Dodgers for an MLB-leading 69 victories, the Brewers opted to stand pat with their internal talent, retaining Jacob Misiorowski and Logan Henderson despite significant interest from suitors in their deep pitching rotation.

Having fallen short in the pursuit of Skubal, Milwaukee pivoted and upgraded its roster by acquiring veteran catcher Bo Naylor from the rival Guardians and adding reliever Codi Heuer.

Atlanta similarly strengthened its squad by trading for the Royals’ Lane Thomas, alongside bullpen additions Tyler Mahle from the Giants and Brent Suter from the Angels in separate deals.

The Braves are currently eight games ahead of the Phillies in the NL East standings and boast a stellar 36-20 record at home.

The Cubs are an early contender as an under-the-radar winner of the deadline.

Chicago’s World Series odds improved significantly, moving from 20/1 on most books Sunday down to 15/1 on DraftKings Monday.

The Cubs enhanced their pitching rotation by acquiring Kevin Gausman from the Blue Jays and Mets starter Clay Holmes, both highly sought-after bullpen targets.

Rounding out a massive Monday haul, Chicago further fortified its depth by landing Mets outfielder Tyrone Taylor, Marlins left-hander Braxton Garrett, and Ryan Zeferjahn from the Angels.

These transactions placed them just behind two AL East teams, the Red Sox and Rays, both with 14/1 odds apiece, but ahead of the Phillies, whose 18/1 odds round out the top eight.

After a historic winning streak in July, former Orioles catcher Adley Rutschman is heading to Beantown as the Red Sox welcome their newest addition. This major acquisition follows Boston’s trade from a week ago, where they sent talented young prospect Connelly Ealy to land Curtis Mead.

In a final series of moves, the Rays made a significant impact by bringing in Freddy Peralta, Tyler Wells, and Liam Hicks. Meanwhile, the Phillies secured Brooks Raley and intend to transition Bryce Harper from first base to the outfield in order to integrate Luis Arraez into the lineup.
