Holland confirmed his marriage to Zendaya during an interview with Esquire magazine. When asked whether he had to explain anything to his family regarding the AI-generated photos of their wedding, Holland replied, “No, because they were all there. That’s all you’ll get on that.”
The Spider-Man actor also gushed about his relationship with Zendaya.
“Our business can present very stressful situations and it’s really nice to have a bedrock of a relationship that will stand the test of time,” he said. “We can support each other in ways that only we can, because only we understand really what it’s like to live this life, and I think that is such a luxury, because I just don’t understand how I would be able to have anything like that with anyone else.”
Holland continued, “So, for me, I found my person. She’s my best friend, and I’m the happiest I ever have been when I’m with her, but I also have never felt so supported and safe, ever. Period.”
Later that month, Holland went viral for a clip in which she revealed his nickname for Zendaya: Maree, her middle name.
“Maree!” he called to her during an interview at the Spider-Man: Brand New Day premiere in Rome. While speaking to another reporter, Zendaya immediately replied, “Yeah?”
Holland then asked, “What’s the name of that place?” to which Zendaya confirmed, “Giolitti!”
Zendaya then turned back to the reporter and explained, “That’s where I’m going after this.”
