The last game on the last Saturday of the 2025 college football regular season is perfectly poised. Hawaii, playing in its customary late-night spot, will host Wyoming on the Island.
A loss to UNLV ended the Rainbow Warriors’ bid to make the Mountain West Championship, but calling Hawaii’s season anything other than a big success is selling it short.
Timmy Chang’s team is going bowling for the first time since 2020, and can hit the eight-win mark for the first time since 2019 with a victory over Wyoming.
Wyoming vs. Hawaii odds, prediction
Hawaii’s resurgence has been propelled by improvements on both sides of the ball, but the most noteworthy development is the emergence of freshman quarterback Micah Alejado.
A 5-foot-10 buzzsaw, Alejado has racked up 2,543 yards and 19 touchdowns in 2025. He’s had a couple of duds, but for the most part, the Honolulu-born quarterback has delivered the goods for the ‘Bows.
However, Saturday’s matchup does not look like a cozy one for Alejado and the Rainbow Warriors.
It’s been a down year in Laramie, but Wyoming’s bread and butter has been its pass defense. The Cowboys rank sixth in the country in completion percentage, ninth in yards per pass, and 11th in passing yards allowed per game.
The way to get at the Cowboys is to run the ball, which is just not something Hawaii does well.
Betting on College Football?
And while the stylistic matchup favors Wyoming, especially as a 7.5-point underdog, the schedule spot is rough. Not only is it a long trip from Laramie to Honolulu, but it’s hard to imagine that Wyoming’s No. 1 priority this week will be the football game. A meaningless game in paradise before the offseason? That’s a recipe for a lackluster effort if I’ve ever seen one.
We’ll try to end the regular season with an Under in Hawaii.
