Observations from Giants training camp Friday.

’Backs on target

In a grueling practice filled with 11 on 11 periods, the top two quarterbacks were sharp as Jaxson Dart was 17-for-20 and Jameis Winston was 18-for-19.

Both handled a variety of pressures, looking for checkdowns and leading drives of 13-plus plays at the end.

Picked apart

The third-team offense got its most work of camp and Brandon Allen threw an interception to LB Zaire Barnes, who returned it for a touchdown.

Injury report

RB Cam Skattebo lost his footing slowing into Arvell Reese. OLB Brian Burns rolled over in one-on-ones. John Michael Schmitz “got his bell rung,” per John Harbaugh. None of the three returned to practice.

Caught my eye

Rehabbing WR Malik Nabers stood next to Harbaugh for a good portion of 11-on-11 reps, after making sharp cuts and jumping catches in his routes-on-air period. Why? “He’s taking me through the routes and the play call. He’s a great mind for ball. He knows every single play and what everybody is doing,” Nabers said.
