With the NFL draft wrapping up Saturday, there is a lot of hope in the air. All 32 team selected players they believe can help their squads in some form or fashion.
Some may not live up to their draft status, some will exceed expectations and many will never crack the roster. But, right now, there is hope for a better tomorrow.
That’s why it is exciting when young players get a shot at playing in The Show. It obviously is exciting for the player and team, but it also is exciting for fantasy managers looking for an injection of hope.
Chandler Simpson, who was Tampa Bay’s second-round pick in the 2022 draft, was called up last week after hitting .301 with eight RBIs and 13 runs in 17 games for Triple-A Durham.
