Travis Kelce is keeping some details private when it comes to how he spent his 37th birthday with wife Taylor Swift.
“I had a lot of people reach out and say happy birthday,” Travis told his brother, Jason Kelce, on the Wednesday, October 7, episode of their “New Heights” podcast. “It was a good day, it was a fun day. Got some food out here in New York.”
The tight end added that he went to one of his favorite restaurants in the city, Torrisi, with Swift, 36. (The couple, who tied the knot in July, were photographed together at the hot spot on Monday, October 4.)
For Travis, the “best” way to celebrate his birthday was with another win for the Kansas City Chiefs against the Las Vegas Raiders one day prior.
“That was the happiness I had around my birthday, was that I got a win going into the bye [week],” he said. “Losing ruins everyone’s life. … If I would’ve lost, it would’ve ruined my birthday, for sure.”
While Travis didn’t have cake on his big day, he got to enjoy Torrisi’s full “arsenal” of desserts. When asked whether he would divulge any further about his celebrations with Swift — including gifts — he quickly declined.
“I would love to just keep it moving,” he joked to Jason, 38.
Travis hasn’t shied away from discussing his relationship with Swift on his podcast — it is how the couple’s love story began, after all — but he’s kept some things closer to the vest in recent months. He briefly opened up about the pair’s Madison Square Garden wedding when “New Heights” returned from hiatus in September.
“At this point, we’re what, over a month out? It’s been so much fun,” he said. “First of all, the night was a night we’ll never forget. Me and Taylor are so thankful for everybody that showed up, you know, from the vows to just seeing everyone to how much fun we had throughout the entire evening, and hearing that kind of be relayed through everybody’s stories of the night.”
Travis called the ceremony “magical,” adding, “I wish it could’ve lasted even longer than it did, it felt like it just happened in the blink of an eye.”
He went on to explain why MSG felt like the right choice of venue for the superstar couple, saying, “We wanted to do it somewhere where we could have a very intimate and genuine setting without a lot of distractions. We needed it to be a private feel. And MSG went above and beyond to give us that. I can’t thank everybody enough that showed up but also that helped put the show on, and it was a very magical, magical night.”
