Travis Kelce intends to run it back with the Chiefs for a 14th NFL season.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Monday the three-time Super Bowl champ is expected to return to Kansas City, “a message that’s been delivered to teams who will want him.”
The Chiefs fell far short of Super Bowl expectations last year, finishing at 6-11 and missing the playoffs for the first time since 2014.
Kelce was visibly emotional on the sideline during the Chiefs’ 20-13 loss to the Broncos on Christmas Day at Arrowhead Stadium, a contest many anticipated to be his final home game.
In an interview on Prime Video before the game, Kelce opened up to retired tight end Tony Gonzalez about feeling frustrated this season, as well as retirement.
“I feel like I can’t even look my guy, coach Andy Reid, in his eyes right now, just because I feel like I disappointed or I just let him down in some way, somehow throughout the year,” Kelce said.
Kelce, 36, is also preparing for his upcoming nuptials to pop superstar Taylor Swift, also 36.
The couple first got together in 2023 before announcing their engagement in August.
