As a new mom, my style has changed quite a bit over the past year. While I used to have no problem hobbling around in clunky shoes, my new requirements for footwear are easy and comfortable. However, I’m a fashion girl at heart, so when I spotted Cushionaire’s Hip 2 Genuine Suede Ankle Boots on Amazon, I scooped up a pair in cheetah, hoping it would spice up my go-to uniform of sweats and loungewear (it did!). I will say I was extremely happy with my purchase. . . until I saw that the same pair is currently discounted by 50%. To be honest, I don’t actually mind that I paid full price for these babies — I wear them almost every day, and on top of being extremely cozy, they’re a compliment magnet. Even on days when I wonder if these shoes are too casual, they somehow perfectly complete my outfit, pairing well with everything from tailored trousers to jeans, sweats and even the occasional maxi dress.
While these boots do look like a pair of Uggs, they’re much less expensive, and I might go so far as to say they are comfier. On top of being cushioned with memory foam, the faux fur lining really hugs my feet and keeps them warm in freezing weather. Plus, while the fun print and soft suede exterior make them look luxe, the rubber, non-slip outsole has saved me from taking a tumble in my icy driveway, giving me the best of both worlds.

Although I love my cheetah pair, I’m currently contemplating buying another colorway, especially since the khaki and grey options are also a fraction of their original price. How cute would they look with dark denim and a fuzzy winter sweater? Even the off-white pair would work well as indoor shoes or something I keep by the door to wear while walking the dog. (Gah — do I buy three more pairs so I’m set for life?)
Other Amazon shoppers seem to be just as in love with Cushionaire’s faux shearling boots as I am, with many saying they’re well worth the money.
“I will admit I had pretty low expectations for this boot because I was looking to take a minimal financial jump into this recurrent trend,” one person revealed. “I am pleasantly surprised by the quality, comfort and coziness of these boots. They’re easy to slip on for a quick walk with the dog or even to dinner with the family. Definitely happy I took the plunge!”
Another customer compared them to Ugg boots, noting that you can’t really tell the difference.

A few reviewers did mention that these shoes run small, so if you’re between sizes, you might want to size up (this hack worked for my postpartum feet, which may or may not be a half-size bigger than they were pre-pregnancy!). You also have the option to choose a wider width, so there’s no need to ditch your warm, chunky socks when rocking your new boots.
