Taylor Swift and her husband, Travis Kelce, stepped out in New York City to celebrate the NFL star’s 37th birthday.

On Monday, October 5, photos published by People showed the birthday boy and his bride, 36, getting out of an SUV on Mulberry Street in SoHo to dine at trendy Italian restaurant Torrisi. Swift wore a chic leather bomber jacket over a black dress with lace trim while Kelce opted for a dark cardigan sweater paired with charcoal-colored pants and leather shoes in honor of his big day.

The newlyweds picked the perfect spot for a romantic meal as acclaimed chef Mario Carbone‘s eatery prides itself on delivering “the highest levels of execution and the most spectacular ingredients with inspired creativity and a deep respect for New York City’s culinary history.” The restaurant received a prestigious Michelin Star in 2023.

Kelce is currently on a break from the Kansas City Chiefs’ jam-packed NFL schedule as his team has a bye this week. The Chiefs will return to the gridiron against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, October 18, at Arrowhead Stadium.

New York City holds a very special place in Swift and Kelce’s romantic history as they tied the knot at the famed Madison Square Garden in front of a star-studded guest list on July 3. The newlyweds even announced that they were “JUST&T MARRIED” on digital billboards surrounding the “World’s Most Famous Arena” during the ceremony.

Kelce broke his silence about the nuptials while chatting to reporters at the Kansas City Chiefs’ training camp on August 12, joking that he had “a fun offseason.”

“Wedding was the best night of my life. I appreciate everybody who came out and celebrated and had fun with us,” he said during a press conference. “That’s about all I really got from that night. It was a crazy night. It was full of a lot of celebration.”

At that same press briefing, Chiefs quarterback specifically opened up about the honor of getting married at Madison Square Garden.

“MSG, man, I always told myself I’d go for a playoff game when the [New York] Knicks were rocking, and my wife went when I was stuck in minicamp,” Kelce said. “I didn’t get the opportunity to go then, so it’s kind of cool to get to live out my childhood dream of being in that venue, the mecca of all sports venues, being able to get married in there.”

Last weekend, Swift seemingly skipped the Chiefs’ road game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, October 4, at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada. (The Chiefs prevailed in a squeaker win over the Raiders, 30 to 27.)

While Swift has easy access to a private plane, a cross-country trek seemed unlikely since she made a cameo alongside her friend Dakota Johnson on Saturday Night Live in New York City the previous night. The “Cleveland” singer popped up during Johnson’s monologue and later surprised her with a birthday cake during the “goodnights” segment to celebrate the Verity actress turning 37 on Sunday.
