The Coachella Valley Lakers, the Lakers’ G League affiliate, announced on Thursday that Will Iger, the son of former Disney CEO Bob Iger, will be the team’s play-by-play announcer for the 2026-27 season.

He’ll join A.C. Green, who’ll be the game analyst, as the Coachella Valley Lakers’ broadcast team.

The Coachella Valley Lakers kick off their season on Friday against the Salt Lake City Stars at Acrisure Arena.

Will Iger previously called games for the Austin Spurs, the San Antonio Spurs’ G League affiliate, during the 2025-26 season, after serving as a sports commentator on the Mavericks’ weekly studio show, “The Bounce”.

He was also a play-by-play announcer for San Antonio FC, the Indoor Football League and collegiate athletics at Columbia University and Hofstra University.

The elder Iger is part of the ownership group led by venture capitalist Josh Kushner that’s purchasing the majority ownership of the Lakers from Mark Walter at a valuation of $12.5 billion.

Kushner and Walter finalized the details of the agreement last week.

Once the agreement of the sale is officially signed, the transaction will need approval from the NBA’s Board of Governors.
