Saquon Barkley’s fiancée Anna Congdon reacts to his historic $41 million Eagles contract

Saquon Barkley’s fiancée, Anna Congdon, praised his agent after the Eagles star landed a historic two-year contract extension that made him the highest-paid running back in NFL history on Tuesday.

Taking to her Instagram Story, Congdon re-shared a snapshot of Barkley and Edward Berry, his agent at CAA, hugging on the sideline.

“Let Jesus cook!” Congdon commented under the photo, which was posted to Barkley’s Instagram.

She added a heart emoji and a prayer hands animation.

The couple, who met while they were students at Penn State, have been dating since 2017.

Barkley, 28, revealed their engagement in February ahead of Super Bowl 2025 in New Orleans, sharing he popped the questions six months prior.

The Eagles announced Barkley’s extension on Tuesday.

Both sides agreed to a two-year contract extension worth $41.2 million in new money, according to NFL Network.

The deal includes $36 million guaranteed — the most ever by a running back on a contract of three years or less, per Over The Cap — with $15 million more in incentives.

Barkley signed a three-year, $37.75 million deal with the Eagles in free agency last March after six years with the Giants.

The former Nittany Lion went on to have his best season yet and was a key part of Philadelphia’s Super Bowl run.

Barkley tallied a league-high 2,005 rushing yards on 345 carries with 13 rushing touchdowns.

The former first-round pick also set a new single-season rushing record, including playoffs, with 2,504 yards, passing Terrell Davis.

Barkley received the Offensive Player of the Year award, an All-Pro selection and a Pro Bowl nod in 2024.

He capped off a record-breaking year by winning his first Super Bowl title with Philadelphia on Feb. 9, his 28th birthday.

Congdon and their two children, daughter Jada Clare, 6, and son Saquon Barkley Jr., 2, celebrated with Barkley on the field at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

Jada was born two days before Barkley was selected with the second overall pick by the Giants in the 2018 NFL Draft.

The couple welcomed Saquon Jr. in 2022.

Congdon and Barkley have kept their relationship and family life fairly private.
