PALM BEACH, Fla. — Nice words, but action speaks louder.
Head coach Mike Tomlin and the Steelers embraced all that is Russell Wilson for one season and one season only and now the Giants get him, signed to a one-year deal worth $10.5 million, plus incentives. Wilson went 6-5 as a starter but the Steelers lost their last five games in 2024 and did not really pursue Wilson when he hit the open market.
“Man, Russ is class in every way,’’ Tomlin said Monday at the AFC coach’s breakfast at the NFL Annual Meeting at The Breakers. “He embraces all that comes with the job, formal and informal. They’ll get all of him.’’
The Steelers got all of Wilson but opted to move on from him. Why?
