The Real Housewives of New York City’s Jessel Taank is breaking down her thoughts on Andy Cohen asking about her plastic surgery during the season 15 reunion.
“The fact that Andy asked me, I wasn’t offended because I know he issued a statement about this. He does ask, I’m sure, at every reunion, ‘Have you guys prepared?’” Taank, 45, explained on the Wednesday, February 12, episode of the “How to Fail” podcast. “Loves a boob job, loves a nose job, loves a bit of filler and Botox. For me, he’s been so complimentary of me and how I dress and how I look and so I didn’t take offense to it.”
In Taank’s perspective, the conversation at the reunion “went south” when costar Brynn Whitfield chimed in and said, “Well, I know what she’s done to her face.”
“I think I was confused because I thought she was alluding to the fact that maybe I did more, like I had a nose job or a facelift, which none of that is true,” Taank said. “So there was a little bit of confusion on my part and then she went to say that she introduced me to someone who does injectables and that I ran out on a bill, which also didn’t happen. So I think the whole thing took a bit of a dive.”
Taank claimed that the situation “got really awkward,” and recalled being asked, “OK, well, what did you do?” Taank explained that that “was kind of the stress of it all.”
“But I stand by the fact that I’ve only done Botox and filler. My mum would kill me if I did anything more,” Taank added. “She literally would.”
During part one of the season 15 finale, which aired in January, Cohen, 56, observed that Taank had “quite a glow up” and claimed she looked like “an airbrushed version” of herself. While initially explaining that she cut her hair and lost weight, Taank admitted that she had “done botox since I was 26.”
“I got Botox and I do filler and that’s it,” Taank said, before adding that she got veneers. Cohen pointed out that Taank wasn’t entirely open about her plastic surgery.
“It is just the sprinkle of Botox, the fillers and the veneers,” Cohen confirmed, to which Taank replied, “Yes, nothing else. That’s it.”
After the reunion aired, Cohen addressed the conversation. “‘What work have you done’ remains at the top of the list of viewer questions every season, every franchise,” Cohen wrote via X in January, while reposting a user’s tweet who suggested he should “retire” asking Bravo stars about their alleged or possible plastic surgery. “The HW have unabashedly let us into their beauty regimes since day one; It’s a big part of the series DNA.”
