Rep. Ilhan Omar appears to be sprayed with unknown substance by ranting audience member at chaotic town hall

News RoomBy News RoomJanuary 27, 20262 ViewsNo Comments

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) was apparently sprayed with an unknown substance Tuesday after a man rushed the stage during a chaotic town hall event in Minnesota.

Omar was at the podium criticizing Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and calling for abolishing ICE when the assailant – shouting inaudible remarks – charged her and appeared to spray liquid in the direction of her chest.

The congresswoman ran after the man and appeared to be readying to punch him before he was tackled and removed from the North Minneapolis venue.

Omar continued with her remarks a few minutes later.
