Regarding these Rangers, who would have fit right in with those inadequate 1997-2004 teams from the Dark Ages:
1. When the Rangers pulled off the Jan. 31 deal for J.T. Miller, it was understood that the exchange in which Filip Chytil, Victor Mancini and a No. 1 went to Vancouver for the first-line center was not primarily about this year.
But did Miller have to take that sentiment literally?
Look, the 32-year-old is not even on the first page of the issues the hierarchy must resolve this offseason, that’s obvious.
