Jessa Duggar and husband Ben Seewald are sharing more details on her pregnancy with baby No. 7.

Jessa, 33, and Ben, 31, broke the news on the Wednesday, October 28, episode of the “Unplanned Podcast,” in which the 19 Kids and Counting alum told cohosts Matt and Abby Howard, “We have six kids and we’re actually expecting again. Six weeks pregnant with No. 7.”

Jessa shared that she was feeling a little “queasy” in her first trimester before explaining that “with each kid, we take it one at a time.”

The reality star said that the couple’s seventh child together was planned after they had an unexpected pregnancy with baby No. 6, son Eddie, born in July 2025.

“It’s always me,” Jessa responded when asked whose idea the baby was. “I get baby fever way too soon. I’m like, ‘How can I have a newborn and have baby fever?’ When I said, ‘We should have a No. 7,’ he was like, ‘Alright.’”

“She’s the one carrying this child. … If she wants to have another one, wants to be a mom again, who am I to stand in the way of that?” Ben added.

Jessa revealed she broke the news to her husband in a text message while he was out golfing with Jessa’s brother Jed.

She said, “I just texted him a photo of the pregnancy test and then I talked to him six hours later.”

“I was golfing with her brother Jed, and I just happened to look down at my phone, and Jessa texted me as I’m sitting on the golf cart, and I was just like, ‘Wait, what?’” Ben recalled. “I told [her] dad and brothers … we were about to get brunch together after golfing. I was like, ‘I’ll bless the food, guys.’ [I said], ‘Lord, thank you for this new baby on the way. They’re like, ‘What?!’”

As well as Eddie, 15 months, Jessa and Ben are parents to sons Spurgeon, 10, Henry, 9, and George, 2, and daughters Ivy, 7, and Fern, 5.

During Wednesday’s podcast episode, Jessa and Ben opened up about how he made her cry when she shared that she was pregnant with Eddie, revealing that their sixth baby together was unplanned.

“[She] told me and I was like, ‘What?’” Ben said, admitting that he was worried about finances and spending enough time with each of his children. “I had these kind of anxious thoughts flooding in. It could have been a sweet moment of rejoicing together. Instead I was like, ‘What are we gonna do?’ I made [Jessa] cry. [Jessa] sensed my anxiety and [she] started crying because that made [her] anxious. I felt so awful at that point.”

He added, “I went to my pastor friend and I went, ‘Man, I made my wife cry.’”

Despite Ben’s concerns about juggling time with all his children and his ministry work, Jessa assured her husband that he’s an “intentional dad.”

“He takes our kids on dates pretty much every week. He’ll take one or two kids out, they do breakfast dates and they get that time with dad,” Jessa said. “He’s always wrestling with them on the floor, playing board games, Legos with the boys, take the girls to take their nails done.”
