NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (-7) over Cleveland Browns
Dreadful weather helped the Browns get the win over the lowly Dolphins in Week 7.
They won’t be as lucky this Sunday.
Led by breakout star Drake Maye, the Patriots are 5-2 and return home for the first time in four weeks, riding a four-game winning streak.
During that stretch, New England is averaging over 30 points a game, and its defense has been solid to boot.
The Browns have been god-awful on the road this season, being outscored 98-36 across three games.
Don’t let a gimme win over one of the worst teams in football fool you — the Patriots should cruise to another win in Foxborough.
ATLANTA FALCONS (-7.5) over Miami Dolphins
Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was benched late in last week’s ugly loss at Cleveland after throwing three interceptions.
Vibes around head coach Mike McDaniel — who had yet another bizarre press conference this week — could not be weirder.
Though they won’t have to deal with wild weather, Miami is facing another good defense on Sunday.
The .500 Falcons have been better than average at home, going 2-1 with wins over the Commanders and Bills, and a three-point loss to the Buccaneers.
Betting on the NFL?
With so much going wrong for the Dolphins right now, I’m giving the Dolphins virtually no shot to march into Atlanta and take down a playoff contender.
Whether it’s Michael Penix Jr. or Kirk Cousins behind center for the Falcons, expect a comfortable win for the home team.
LAST WEEK: 2-0. Lions (W), Chiefs (W).
SEASON: 6-8.
