WASHINGTON — To the surprise of no one, the Nets’ leading scorers so far in preseason are standout vets Michael Porter Jr. and Julius Randle.
To the shock of many, up next is Nolan Traore.
The youngest player on the NBA’s youngest team, the 20-year-old Traore has already found himself marginalized when the Nets took Mikel Brown Jr.
Traore will lose minutes to Brown when the lottery pick makes his delayed debut in Wednesday’s preseason finale. But so far, Traore has done everything expected — maybe more than expected — in the preseason playing time he’s gotten.
