The MLB All-Star break is widely recognized as the slowest stretch on the sports calendar, which forces bettors to find value elsewhere or take a break.
I am an avid WNBA bettor, but I also look to uncover angles in locations that might be overlooked. I believe I have done just that in the NBA’s Las Vegas Summer League.
Just like anything, finding profitable angles takes work. This very publication provided valuable information that I believe presents a good opportunity.
In his piece in The Post last Saturday, Stefan Bondy recapped the Knicks’ opening loss to the Detroit Pistons.
However, I was more focused on the kernels of information. New Knicks coach Mike Brown has instructed his staff to implement a fast pace and we are seeing a high-octane tempo.
The Knicks flew Over the total by 15 points in their opener and then went Under the total in the second game by three points.
However, that occurred only because both the Knicks and the Boston Celtics shot under 20 percent from behind the arc.
That’s just variance, but the ingredients were there for an easy cash on the Over.
The Knicks and Nets square off Tuesday, and the total is 179.5 at Caesars as of Tuesday afternoon.
The Knicks are 12-for-64 from 3-point territory in their first two games. I have to think we will see an improvement on that 19 percent shooting.
Betting on the NBA?
Plus, starting point guard Tyler Kolek is 5-for-24, and I feel that he also has to experience some regression.
I have a 55-46-1 ATS record in this Post sports section, and my next play is Knicks-Nets Over 179.5 points (-110, Caesars). I fully expect another Knicks game with a high pace.
(Editor’s note: Tuesday’s edition of The Post had a line of 177.5 since no line had been set yet at the time of writing).
