MTG calls for a ‘tax revolt’ after accusing Trump of ditching America First: ‘So fed up’

News RoomBy News RoomDecember 31, 20252 ViewsNo Comments

Outgoing firebrand Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene amplified calls for a tax revolt in 2026, while not-so-subtly accusing President Trump of abandoning his America First creed.

Greene (R-Ga.) highlighted a few of the calls by Trump voters to stop paying taxes during the new year and argued that those calls are justified because the government “screws over Americans.”

“Almost every Trump voter I see on X is so fed up they are planning a 2026 tax revolt,” Greene raged on X Wednesday. “And rightfully so!”

Almost every Trump voter I see on X is so fed up they are planning a 2026 tax revolt.

And rightfully so!

It’s because Americans work their asses off, barely make ends meet, and the government consistently gives their hard earned tax dollars to foreign countries, foreign wars,…

— Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene🇺🇸 (@RepMTG) December 31, 2025

“It’s because Americans work their a–es off, barely make ends meet, and the government consistently gives their hard earned tax dollars to foreign countries, foreign wars, and foreigners the U.S. government has brought/allowed into America! And NOTHING is given to Americans!!!”

The retiring congresswoman went on a reposting blitz of MAGA influencers who either questioned why they were paying taxes or outright suggested they may stop.

The ones she reposted cited various gripes such as the $1 billion fraud scandal roiling Minnesota, foreign wars, and more.

Among the reposts from Greene was a clip from pundit Andy Frisella’s viral anti-tax rant this week, in which he fumed against the rampant fraud discovered in Minnesota.

“We’re being replaced with the dollars that we work our f—ing —sses off to produce for our families. They’re taking those dollars, they are bringing in people that f—ing hate us and then they are paying them to be here,” Frisella seethed in a profanity-laced screed.

“These motherf—ers were opening up a daycare and getting $10 million f—ing dollars. This is f—ing insane,” he added. “Donald Trump needs to feel all the f—ing smoke over all of this.”

Later in his fiery rant, Frisella contended that “taxation was never meant to be a permanent thing,” and said that “every American should consider organizing and not paying federal tax, period.”

Frisella’s rant had taken social media by storm and grabbed Greene’s attention.

Greene also reposted other influencers such as TurningPointUSA contributor Savanah Hernandez, who declared that she’s “not paying taxes” in the new year.

F*ck it, I’m not paying taxes this year.

And then when the IRS comes after me, I’ll blow that up into a huge national story about how the government will destroy your life over a couple thousand dollars meanwhile the Pentagon just failed their 8th straight audit in a row,…

— Savanah Hernandez (@Savsays) December 30, 2025

I think paying taxes should be paused until the government can prove to the American people there is no more fraud.

— Gunther Eagleman™ (@GuntherEagleman) December 29, 2025

Greene, who is set to step down from the House on Jan. 5, 2026, contended that the nation’s woes remain true regardless of which party is in charge and decried the country’s rapidly accelerating $38 trillion debt, “unaffordable healthcare,” “unaffordable housing,” and other issues.

“What will it take to put the American people first???” Greene added.

The gov can’t be trusted to not light our hard-earned money on fire by funding endless wars, lining the pockets of fraudsters, pushing genital mutilation on children among other atrocities…

So I heard we’re not playing that game this year?

Twist my arm😂

In another post, Greene took a direct swipe at Trump, accusing him of focusing too much on foreign conflicts and not enough on critical domestic issues at home.

“Trump spent the weekend with [Volodymyr] Zelensky and [Benjamin] Netanyahu, Pentagon fails audit again,” she chided.

“Meanwhile Americans are planning a tax revolt because they don’t know what else to do to get their elected officials to stop their money from being given to thieves, foreigners, and foreign wars.”

Greene has not publicly divulged her plans after stepping down from the House.
