Donovan Dijak and Bishop Dyer had a lengthy reign as Major League Wrestling (MLW) tag team champions, sharing it with Josh Bishop as well under the Freebird Rule which allowed any members of the trio to hold and defend the belts.
The group, collectively known as The Skyscrapers, had the titles for 317 days. As Dyer left MLW for WWE, Dijak and Bishop held the titles until losing the belts on a summer episode of “Fusion” to The Good Brothers.

With Dyer now in WWE and a former WWE United States champion almost immediately upon his return there, Dijak looked back on his reign with the competitor fondly. He told OutKick Dropkick he wants to team up with Dyer again somewhere down the line.
“I love everything that I was able to do with Bishop Dyer, now Baron Corbin, and tag teaming with him was unbelievable levels of fun,” he said. “We got to do it in Mexico. We got to do it in Australia. We got to do it all over the United States, which was great for me, especially from a guy like him at his level. He didn’t take like a ton of indie dates. He was doing sort of limited appearances, but I was a part of a ton of that. So, to be able to have that experience with him, and I worked with him in WWE before, I just can’t wait to tag with him again.
“I don’t know when and where it’s going to happen. I hope that it does happen because that’s like kind of how pro wrestling works. You never know when your last time tagging with someone or your last time wrestling someone is going to be. Every time you work with someone, your brain always goes, oh man, I can’t wait to do that again, and where are we going to do it and stuff like that. And then sometimes it’s just like, oh, they’re retired, I guess it’s never happening again or, in some like horrible cases, sometimes, the person you’re working with unfortunately passes away or something, which, sadly, happened to me way too many times in the world of professional wrestling, and that hits on an entirely different level in terms of I’m never going to be able to see that person again. But sometimes you leave a locker room and you’re like, I’ll see these guys all, and then you never see them for another year or two.”

Dijak and Dyer had multiple title defenses during their reign. They defeated Averno and Euforia at CMLL Viernes Espectacular and they beat The Good Brothers earlier this year after winning the belts at last year’s Summer of the Beasts against Magnus and Rugido.
Dijak suggested he wouldn’t trade any of that for the world.
“There’s so many of those experiences. I just hope that he and I get to tag together again because we had an incredible run in MLW,” he told OutKick Dropkick. “We were the MLW tag team champions, and he’s just a good friend. We still talk all the time. I hope it happens again.”
Now, Dijak and is partnered with Bishop as The Skyscrapers continue to forge their own path in MLW.
