Melania Trump revealed Wednesday that her 19-year-old son, Barron, is having a very different first son experience this time around compared to her husband’s first term in office.
“It’s very different,” the first lady said during an appearance on “The Five” on Fox News.
Barron was only 14-years-old when his father, President Trump, left office in 2021.
Now a sophomore at New York University’s Stern School of Business, Barron has shown more interest in White House affairs, his mother explained.
“He understands now. He’s involved. He knows what’s going on in the world,” Melania said.
“He talks with his dad. He talks with me. He was very involved in the campaign,” she continued. “He gave him all of the ideas who he needs to talk to — all of these YouTubers and, you know, podcasts.
“So he was really a smart mind behind it.”
Melania, who is promoting the upcoming premiere of her self-titled documentary, was also asked about her husband’s infamous dance moves.
“I like it at certain times,” she said of President Trump’s signature “YMCA” dance. “Some days [it] was not appropriate, and I told him so.”
“But it’s his dance, and I think people love it.”
Asked if she has ever tried to shimmy like her husband, Melania responded, “I have.”
“It’s different than his,” she said of the way she likes to dance to the iconic song by the Village People.
President Trump has previously quipped that his wife finds his dancing “not presidential.”
The first lady’s film, “Melania,” will premiere Thursday night at the Trump-Kennedy Center in Washington.
Both President Trump and the first lady are scheduled to attend.
