Madelyn Cline is no stranger to a high-profile romance following the 2020 premiere of Netflix’s Outer Banks.

As fans shipped Cline and costar Chase Stokes on screen as Sarah Cameron and John B, respectively, they were getting cozy in real life. Cline and Stokes hard-launched their relationship in June 2020 with an Instagram post. As time went on, the stars shared how they went from coworkers to something more.

“It was just always work-oriented — really until the day we wrapped,” Stokes exclusively told Us Weekly in February 2021. “It wasn’t until after that, until we started to kind of get into the lockdown where we were like, ‘Is there something here or am I crazy?’ That’s sort of where it bloomed from there.”

After more than one year together, Us Weekly confirmed in November 2021 that Stokes and Cline had split.

Immediately after their breakup went public, fans started to speculate that Cline had moved on with Ross Butler. However, he confirmed they were “just friends” while chatting with TMZ at the time. She has since been romantically linked to a few other high-profile names.

Chase Stokes

After filming Outer Banks season 1, Cline and Stokes started dating. They went public in 2020 and were together for more than a year. Us Weekly confirmed their split in November 2021.

After their breakup, Cline and Stokes kept it professional, continuing to work amicably on the Netflix show’s set.

“We always said that the job remains untouched. Nothing else, personal or negative, will touch the job,” Cline told Cosmopolitan in February 2023. “And while that’s not always easy, our job is to leave the show better than we found it, to leave the season better than we found it. And I’m really appreciative of that.”

Zack Bia

Cline was first linked to Bia in December 2021 after they were spotted leaving a restaurant in L.A.. At the time, a source told Us Weekly that they were “spending a lot of time together.” However, Bia was quick to publicly clarify their relationship.

“We are not dating. We hang out all the time,” the DJ shared on Barstool Sports’ “BFFs” podcast in January 2022. “It is one of those things where we really enjoy hanging out and enjoy going to dinner. But we never officially started dating and probably will never officially stop because we are just hanging out. We are enjoying it and not even thinking about what it is.”

While it’s unclear exactly what went down between them, things eventually fizzled out.

Jackson Guthy

Cline and Guthy — a musician known for dating Olivia Jade Giannulli in the height of the college admissions scandal drama — had their first public outing in June 2022, sparking romance rumors. While they kept things low-key throughout their time together, Cline mentioned the house “she shares with her boyfriend and dogs” during a December 2022 interview with The Cut.

While they shared glimpses of their love on social media, Cline seemingly confirmed their split in July 2023 when eagle-eyed fans noticed that she had unfollowed Guthy on Instagram.

Pete Davidson

Us Weekly broke the news of Cline and Davidson’s romance in September 2023.

“Pete and Madelyn are dating. They spent the night together at the Beverly Hills Hotel and then had breakfast together there the next morning,” a source told Us. “They were really low-key and kept things casual, wearing baseball hats.”

Cline confirmed in September 2024 that she and Davidson had split earlier that year. At the time, she was asked by Nylon what it was like to be with someone whose dating life is under a microscope.

“The jokes write themselves,” she said.

Prince Constantine Alexios

Cline was spotted packing on the PDA with Prince William’s godson in September 2025. Details about their romance were few and far between, but they were seen holding hands and kissing in New York City on multiple occasions.

Henry Smith

Us confirmed in April 2026 that Cline was dating the TikTok star after a video of them celebrating Easter together went viral. Just a few months later, however, news broke of their split.

“I’ve never been a believer in holding resentment towards people or dwelling or sulking. I just don’t think it’s helpful or productive or fosters happiness in life,” Smith said in a July 2026 TikTok video addressing the breakup. “But I do believe in moving forward.”
