Lizzo is sharing the secrets to her weight loss journey.
The “About Damn Time” singer, 36, gave fans an insight into her eating and exercise habits during a TikTok Live on Tuesday, April 22.
Lizzo revealed that she once consumed “two to three” large Starbucks drinks a day, estimating that she drank around 1,2000 calories daily. The singer said she gave up her daily dose of Starbucks after realizing how many calories she was consuming and that giving up coffee also helped to “regulate my nervous system,” per People.
As for her daily diet, Lizzo said she starts her day with something “super savory,” foregoing “sugary stuff.”
“I do something sweet. It’s gotta be with some sort of like carb. I’ll have like almond butter and toast,” she said.
“So, everybody’s body is different. Find out what works for you,” she added, noting that it’s important to consider “calories in versus calories out.”
“That’s just how the human body works,” she said.
In a video shared via TikTok on Tuesday, Lizzo showed off one of her healthy meals: bison meatballs with rice, peas and cabbage.
In January, Lizzo celebrated hitting her goal weight, two years after she began an “intentional” journey to transform her body.
“I did it,” the Grammy winner wrote via Instagram. “Today when I stepped on my scale, I reached my weight release goal.”
She added, “I haven’t seen this number since 2014! Let this be a reminder you can do anything you put your mind to. Time for new goals!”
In a follow-up post, Lizzo revealed that she had dropped 16% body fat and lowered her body mass index by 10.5 since January 16, 2023.
“I actually am on an intentional weight loss journey right now,” she said in another Instagram Story video. “Even at the end of my weight loss journey, I’m not going to be considered thin by any means. I will still be considered morbidly obese on the BMI and little bros on the internet are still gonna call me big-backed, but I will be happy — and I am happy.”
Lizzo added in a singsong, “Told y’all I was gonna bump like this. Y’all didn’t know I could bump like this. Let this be a reminder that you can do anything that you set your mind to. Now, I guess it’s time to set new goals.”
