Law Enforcement Tells Media Not to ‘Order Food Delivery’ While at Nancy Guthrie Crime Scene

News RoomBy News RoomFebruary 11, 20260 ViewsNo Comments

Law enforcement issued a reminder to members of the media, urging reporters and producers not to order food to Nancy Guthrie’s home amid the ongoing investigation into her disappearance.

“We can’t believe we have to say this, but media on scene: please do not order food delivery to a crime scene address,” the Pima County Sheriff’s Department wrote via X on Tuesday, February 10. “This interferes with an active investigation. Please also respect private property laws. Thank you.”

Earlier on Tuesday, video circulated online of a pizza delivery person arriving at Guthrie’s home to drop off a food order. According to local journalist Ford Hatchett, another member of the media allegedly ordered the pizza to be delivered to the property.

“Never seen something quite like this. A Domino’s delivery driver just walked all the way up to Nancy Guthrie’s front door trying to deliver a pizza,” Hatchett tweeted alongside a video of the delivery driver with a carryout bag. “Walking out now. Believe it was intended for someone in the media along the street.”

On February 1, Nancy, the mother of Today cohost Savannah Guthrie, was reported missing after she failed to attend her church’s virtual worship service. Nancy, 84, was last seen by loved ones during a family dinner the previous evening.

“We can confirm this is a missing persons case, and the family is working closely with local law enforcement,” the Guthrie family, which includes Savannah as well as siblings Annie and Camron Guthrie, said in a statement to NBC News, adding that they are grateful for “the outreach, thoughts and prayers” they have received.

Since their mom’s disappearance, Savannah, 54, and her siblings have posted several emotional videos amid the search. Savannah has been away from the Today show since her mom went missing, traveling to and remaining in Arizona alongside her siblings as the search continues.

While there has not been a confirmed suspect, the FBI released photographs and videos of a potential suspect in connection with the ongoing criminal investigation. The unidentified individual could be seen in Nancy’s entry way donning a ski mask while seemingly covering Nancy’s doorbell security camera before ultimately dismantling the camera entirely.

“New images in the search for Nancy Guthrie,” read a tweet from FBI Director Kash Patel on Tuesday. “Over the last eight days, the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department have been working closely with our private sector partners to continue to recover any images or video footage from Nancy Guthrie’s home that may have been lost, corrupted, or inaccessible due to a variety of factors – including the removal of recording devices. The video was recovered from residual data located in backend systems.”

The post continued, “Working with our partners — as of this morning, law enforcement has uncovered these previously inaccessible new images showing an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie’s front door the morning of her disappearance.”

Savannah reacted to the images that same day, resharing the photos and asking for any potential leads on the person’s identity.

“We believe she is still alive. Bring her home,” Savannah wrote via Instagram at the time. “Anyone with information, please contact 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324) or the Pima County Sheriff’s Department 520-351-4900.”
