Kyle Cooke weighed in on the mini-love triangle between Ciara Miller, Jesse Solomon and West Wilson ahead of Summer House season 10.
“Would you expect nothing less from those guys?” Kyle quipped during an exclusive interview with Us Weekly earlier this year.
Summer House season 10 showed Jesse discussing his crush on Ciara with West, his best friend and her ex. (Ciara and West dated in 2023.)
Jesse asked West for permission to make out with Ciara, which caused some tension between the men. Ciara, understandably, wasn’t pleased when she heard about that conversation and confronted Jesse about what he said. The two ultimately came to an understanding.
“It was great theater. It was very entertaining. I was just like, ‘How is this going to end?’ There’s so many things that could have gone wrong, many of which did,” Kyle said. “Ultimately, I credit our friendships here. We were able to kind of hold it together. I think that you’ll see us all hanging out partying together at the premiere.”
Kyle also weighed in on his relationship with Amanda Batula, saying he was “really proud of how far we’ve come.” (Us’ interview with Kyle was conducted shortly before he and Amanda announced their separation on January 19.)
Since then, Kyle has inadvertently found himself wrapped up in some Summer House drama involving his estranged wife.
Rumors started swirling in early March that Amanda — who is best friends with Ciara — had moved on with West, but the costars initially denied that they were romantically involved.
As the speculation ramped up, Amanda and West eventually spoke out on Tuesday, March 31, confirming their romance in a lengthy Instagram Story statement.
“We’ve seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity. It was never our intention to purposely hide anything,” they wrote. “Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it.”
Amanda and West said what “developed” between them was unexpected.
“Our connection grew out of a genuine, longstanding friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care,” they added. “We wanted to take time to understand exactly what we were feeling.”
Their statement concluded, “We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless. We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this.”
A source told Us on Tuesday that Kyle was “genuinely blindsided” by Amanda and West’s romance.
“Kyle always knew Amanda would eventually move on, but he never imagined it would be with a castmate or anyone within their own circle,” the insider said. “The idea of her dating a castmate is something he’s really struggled to wrap his head around.”
