The belief is back on in New York.
Knicks fans could be heard loudly during the “Inside the NBA” broadcast after their 106-100 comeback win in Game 3 over the Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Sunday.
The crowd that gathered behind the TNT set chanted, “Knicks in six” as the panel of Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, Shaquille O’Neal and Ernie Johnson tried to break down the game.
“These dudes up here chanting ‘Knicks in six.’ They won one game,” Barkley said.
“These people are crazy man,” he added.
Knicks fans certainly made their presence known Sunday as they celebrated into the night.
Another video made the rounds on social media and showed a group of Knicks fans dancing and chanting in a hallway somewhere in the arena.
And closer to home, a swarm of Knicks fans had gathered outside the Garden following a watch party, which got rowdy at the final buzzer.
The large crowd outside the building chanted “Knicks in six” as they jumped around.
Some of the city’s best-known landmarks were lit up in Knicks orange and blue for the occasion.
The Empire State Building and City Hall were both decorated in Knicks colors.
“What a finish to Game 3! Really proving why the @nyknicks are meant to be in the playoffs!” Mayor Eric Adams posted on X. “City Hall is lit up in Knicks Orange and Blue tonight to celebrate tonight’s victory!”
The Knicks’ comeback win cut their series deficit to 2-1, with Game 4 on Tuesday in Indianapolis before the series shifts back to New York for Game 5 on Thursday night.
