Kevin Kisner joins Barstool Sports’ ‘Fore Play’ podcast as PGA Tour star expands his media reach

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — Pro golfer Kevin Kisner is officially joining Barstool Sports’ “Fore Play” podcast as a full-time member.

The four-time PGA Tour winner has been splitting his time between serving as a lead golf analyst on NBC and playing for the Jupiter Links Golf Club in the TGL indoor league.

Kisner joins Sam “Riggs” Bozoian, Frankie Borrelli and Trent Ryan to add his firsthand PGA Tour experience and insider perspective to “Fore Play,” giving fans a mix of professional insight and candid golf commentary.

For Kisner, who hasn’t played in a PGA Tour match since last November, joining “Fore Play” for two episodes per week adds just another role to an ever-growing media presence that has expanded in recent years as he balances broadcasting with selective PGA Tour appearances.

“I went from ‘I’m not going to play as much’ to ‘now you’ve got four jobs,” Kisner said jokingly. “No, I’m super excited. These are my boys for 10, 12 years, so this is always something we talk about, and now that I see it all come to fruition is pretty incredible, and I’m excited to see what we can do and grow and bring in with this brand.”

Consider his new co-hosts excited.

“When we started doing this, we just were guys that turned on golf coverage on TV, tweeted about players and tried to break, you know, 190, 80, whatever might be on the weekend,” Bozoian told The Post at SoFi Center. “And to be kind of like partnered up with — and doing a show every week now, and videos, and social — one of the guys when we’d turn [the TV] on, was like, you know, winning tournaments on the PGA Tour, and playing in President’s Cups, and the vice captain of the Ryder Cup, and now the lead analyst of NBC, he’s playing TGL and he’s with us 1772675105 is kind of crazy.”

Kisner’s quick-witted humor and approachable personality made him a fit for the podcast conceptualized for “the common golfer.” The three “Fore play” personalities and Kisner have fostered a close relationship since he first appeared on the show in 2018.

That episode marked the first PGA Tour player to appear with the “Fore Play” cast for a YouTube livestream of a round at Pinehurst No. 2 in North Carolina. It became a catalyst for professional players and common people playing with one another on golf entertainment channels.

“We did a scramble of us against him, and we didn’t know what was gonna happen,” Ryan said. “It came down to 18. It was a great match. We’ve been around each other for a very long time, and it was always a natural fit, and now we just made it official.”

The addition of Kisner to the show, which since originating in 2017 has cracked the Sports category in Spotify’s podcast charts, marks a milestone in the show’s popularity and influence in the golf world.

“I was like, this is a pinnacle, massive moment, like in my career,” Borrelli said. “It takes us to that next level. “It’s credibility, he’s funny. He’s the best golfer now, by far. So now we finally get to play some good golf.”
