Wisconsin police have released bodycam footage from Packers star Josh Jacobs’ May arrest on multiple charges of domestic abuse, strangulation and suffocation and intimidation of a victim.
Jacobs, 28, ultimately pled no contest in September to one misdemeanor count of battery and one misdemeanor count of criminal damage to property and has since appeared in two games.
New allegations have since emerged from at least three women alleging abuse from the running back, with one claiming Jacobs purportedly said: “I should kill you right now.”
The video, released by the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department and first reported by News 26 in Green Bay, showed Jacobs exiting a vehicle while being instructed by an officer.
Jacobs, in a hoodie that he would wear in his mugshot, turned around and placed his hands over his head while the officer patted him down.
The sound finally comes on in the clip after about 30 seconds before handcuffs are placed on the NFL veteran.
Jacobs is then escorted to the police car, with the officer informing him he would be patted down more and Jacobs acknowledging the remark.
The officer asked Jacobs if he had anything on him, including an ID, and Jacobs said, “No,” while the officer continued to search him.
The policeman then asked if Jacobs had his phone and he said his attorneys had it.
“This morning, they told me to give it to them because the intention was we were going to turn ourself in, see how it goes,” Jacobs told the officer. “So, they have it.”
The officer then opened the door the vehicle and Jacobs entered the car.
Jacobs’ May arrest happened three days after police responded at 8:37 a.m. ET on May 23 to a “disturbance complaint” involving him.
He allegedly threw his then-girlfriend to the ground, purportedly causing an injury.
Police later arrested him on three charges of domestic abuse, and one charge each of strangulation and suffocation and intimidation of a victim.
A series of new, disturbing allegations emerged Friday.
One of the women reportedly accused Jacobs of assaulting her in January 2022 and stating, “I should kill you right now.”
Another also alleged physical abuse in April 2021 that she reported to police at the time, although no charges were pursued.
A third woman said Jacobs purportedly assaulted him in May 2022, with Jacobs allegedly telling her she could be deported if she relayed the situation to police.
The NFL is still investigating the situation, which could lead to punishment, according to the Associated Press.
“I can’t get into a lot of things, like specifics of things, but obviously I’m remorseful and sorry for putting this team in this situation,” Jacobs said earlier this month, per The Athletic.
“Sometimes when you go through life, situations occur, and a four-second, three-second decision can alter your life, honestly.”
Jacobs missed the first six weeks of the NFL season while on the commissioner’s exempt list and has since appeared in the Packers’ last two games.
