Steve Spagnuolo could get his second chance to be a head coach in New York — just not with the team you’d expect.
The Jets put in a request Wednesday to interview Spagnuolo for their head coach vacancy, as first reported by NFL Network.
He is the only coach in NFL history to win four Super Bowl rings as a coordinator on either side of the ball (three with the Chiefs, one with the Giants).
Two great seasons as Giants defensive coordinator catapulted Spagnuolo into becoming Rams head coach in 2009.
He went 11-41 over three seasons.
