Jennie Garth’s dating history includes three marriages.
With her new memoir, I Choose Me: Chasing Joy, Finding Purpose, and Embracing Reinvention, set for release on April 14, 2026, her love life is back in the spotlight as she shares never-before-revealed details about her relationships.
Garth’s first marriage was to musician Daniel B. Clark. The pair wed in 1994 and divorced two years later. Following the split, the actress connected with Peter Facinelli. She and the Twilight actor were married from 2001 to 2012 and they share three daughters: Luca Bella, Lola Ray and Fiona.
Two years after her divorce, Garth got another chance at love with Dave Abrams whom she wed in 2015. The couple hit a rough patch in 2017 after unsuccessful attempts to expand their family. Abrams filed for divorce but the pair reconciled in 2019 and have remained together since.

Luke Perry
While Jennie Garth and Luke Perry never officially dated, she has referred to her Beverly Hills, 90210 costar as her first love.
“I do think he was my first true love,” she said of Perry in an April 2026 interview with People. “Now looking back, I’m like, ‘You were just like every other girl in the world.’ Everyone imagined him as their first true love.”
Garth and Perry played love interests Kelly and Dylan on the show and their romantic storylines led to the actress catching feelings in real-life.
“There were a lot of intimate conversations and moments between these two characters, and I think I got caught up in it and I allowed myself to think that it was real,” she reflected. “I still believe that there was something real there. We had a very special relationship.”

Following her split from Daniel B. Clark, Jennie Garth connected with Peter Facinelli when they worked together on the 1996 film An Unfinished Affair. The pair tied the knot in January 2001. They welcomed daughters Luca Bella, Lola Ray and Fiona in 1997, 2002 and 2006, respectively.
After more than a decade of marriage, the duo announced that they called it quits.
“We both share the same deep love and devotion to our children. We remain dedicated to raising our beautiful daughters together,” Garth and Facinelli wrote in a joint statement to Us Weekly in 2012.
Garth and Facinelli finalized their divorce the following year and agreed on joint custody of their daughters.
She opened up about their painful split and how she came to terms with letting go during an interview with People in April 2026. “I spent a good amount of years being hurt, sad, just tormented by it, and it eked out into all aspects of my life,” she said. “There was a weird switch where one day I just said, ‘I don’t want to carry this anymore. It’s impacting my relationships and how I feel about myself … I’ve got to forgive him.”

“I really wanted to give Dave a baby because he was young and all of his friends were having kids and I just thought that’s what he needed,” Garth said in an April 2026 cover story for People promoting her new memoir.
Garth revealed that she learned that Abrams planned on filing for divorce via an article from TMZ at the time. Abrams and Garth reconciled in 2019 and dismissed the divorce filing.
