The Valley’s newest season hasn’t even premiered yet, and Jax Taylor already has some explaining to do.
After Bravo released the shocking trailer for season 2 earlier this month, fans had some questions about one of Brittany Cartwright’s revelations.
“Jax has been seeing people,” Cartwright, 36, said in the sneak peek. “He had a girl staying here at the house again last night. There is a thong on my bathroom sink. Why was there a baby wipe on top of it?”
Now, Taylor, 45, is sharing his side of the story in an Us Weekly cover story.
“It was a brand new pair. There was a tag on it,” Taylor said. “We did these bar crawls and girls sometimes leave us with things. And that’s what that was.”
According to Taylor, Cartwright may have made the situation worse when she brought it up on TV.
“She’s like, ‘There was a wet wipe on it,’” Taylor said. “It was not like that at all. It was just, again, her creating her own narrative. I would own it. I would say it. I’d be like, ‘Yeah, I had a girl at the house cause I did have a girl at the house. What am I hiding?’”
Taylor confirmed to Us that he was hooking up with girls during the time. He also pointed out that Cartwright was getting friendly with his ex friend Julian Sensley around the same period.
“All the rules were off,” he claimed to Us. “When I found out about Julian, there were no rules. Once the Julian thing happened, it was on.”
In November 2024, Cartwright subtly confirmed her fling with Sensley on Alex Baskin’s “Hot Mic” podcast. At the time, she didn’t regret her actions as she was separated from Taylor.
“First off, I didn’t think I was going to hook up with his friend. It wasn’t planned,” she said. “I wasn’t trying to go after one of his friends. That’s not how it happened.”
Cartwright also claimed that she and Taylor — who share 3-year-old son Curz — had two rules when they broke up.
“Nobody around Cruz and nobody at our home that we own together,” she said. “Please don’t have girls at the house.”
While Cartwright filed for divorce in August 2024 after five years of marriage, the pair’s date of separation was listed as January 24, 2024.
Before season 2 of The Valley premieres April 15 on Bravo, Taylor teased that viewers may see some explosive fights with Cartwright in future episodes.
As he continues to work on his sobriety, Taylor hopes the outbursts are a thing of the past — especially in front of his son.
“We don’t argue when he’s around anymore,” he shared. “If there’s something that we need to say, we’ll step outside.”
