Italian tennis star Jannik Sinner has been linked to Danish model Laila Hasanovic amid his title defense at the 2025 U.S. Open.
Some internet sleuths saw Sinner checking his phone following a third-round victory over Denis Shapovalov on Saturday, and claimed his wallpaper featured a snapshot of Hasanovic — specifically a snapshot of her smiling from a July brand post for Armani Beauty.
“Sinner has a photo of Laila Hasanovic on his lock screen so the rumors are…?” one TikTok user said, including a clip of the moment.
The camera filmed 24-year-old Sinner from above and captured him holding his phone while sitting on the bench.
The No. 1-ranked player in men’s tennis beat No. 27 Shapovalov 5-7, 6-4, 6-3, 6-3 to set up a fourth round clash with No. 23 Alexander Bublik on Monday night.
Sinner and Hasanovic, also 24, have yet to address the relationship rumors.
Hasanovic, who reportedly split with Formula 1 star Mick Schumacher earlier this year, attended Wimbledon on behalf of a brand on the same day of Sinner’s second round victory over Australia’s Aleksandar Vukic on July 3.
The model was seen in Sinner’s player box at the French Open, sparking buzz the two were an item.
In an interview with Italian newspaper Corriere Della Sera ahead of his first round match at the U.S. Open, Sinner said he is in love, but did not reveal their name.
“Yes, but we don’t talk about our private life,” Sinner said.
During the Italian Open in May, Sinner was asked about photos of him and a woman walking together in Copenhagen.
“Uh no, it was no girl,” Sinner said. “I had to do some business, just a couple of photo shoots there. That’s it. Nothing else.”
Sinner also confirmed his split from fellow tennis star Anna Kalinskaya during a press conference at the Italian Open.
Sinner had celebrated last year’s triumph at Flushing Meadows by embracing Kalinskaya, who lost to Iga Swiatek on Saturday night.
The tennis star served a three-month suspension from February until May due to his two positive doping tests.
