Here’s what to look for in the Giants’ first preseason game against the Bills on Saturday at Orchard Park, N.Y.
Just Winston, baby!
This will be the first appearance in a Giants uniform for Jameis Winston and that should be fun.
Winston is the freest of spirits and will chuck the ball all over the lot.
He is also a serious worker and he might be called on at some point.
If something happens during the season with Russell Wilson, Winston is expected to be next in line.
Hope for Hyatt
If Jalin Hyatt plays, can he rise above the other young wide receivers trying to carve out a spot for themselves on the roster?
Hyatt is entering his third season and his summer has been fine.
Not outstanding, but fine.
He has great speed, but thus far has been unable to fast-track his career.
Corner market
Nic Jones opened some eyes in camp by twice intercepting rookie Jaxson Dart, boosting his chances to rise in the pecking order among the reserve cornerbacks looking to stick around.
The usage of Jones, Tre Hawkins III, Dee Williams, Art Green and rookie Korie Black should offer some indication of what the coaching staff is thinking here.
