In the City star Whitney Fransway dropped a bomb earlier this year hinting that she might have married Kenny Martin — but are their nuptials legally binding?

“I think legally within the spiritual Mother of Peru,” Kenny told Us Weekly exclusively through laughter ahead of In the City’s season 1 finale on Tuesday, July 14.

Whitney further explained that she and Kenny were taking part in a “ceremony” when it all went down.

“[We were] talking about abundance and love and, like, putting these things out there and he’s like, ‘Do you guys want to get married?’” she recalled. “We’re like, ‘Yeah.’ He’s doing his thing, and then he’s like, ‘You may now kiss your wife.’”

Whitney continued, “Now we have Mother Earth’s blessing.”

Whitney previously shared a photo of her and Kenny at the spiritual ceremony in April.

“Might have accidentally gotten married in Peru,” she wrote in the joint post with Kenny.

Whitney, who made her reality TV debut during Nick Viall’s season of The Bachelor in 2017, moved to New York City in October 2025 as her relationship with Kenny progressed. The two met on Raya and were chatting on and off for six months before meeting in person. When they reconnected in NYC, sparks flew. Whitney officially relocated to the Big Apple months after she and Kenny got serious.

Now, the couple are looking forward to their future together.

“We have moved through this relationship at our own pace in our own timeline. I know that everyone doesn’t understand that, doesn’t understand processing grief [or] understand some of the work that kind of needs to be done,” Kenny told Us. “But she has been unbelievably supportive, and I wouldn’t change our process for anything in the world. I think we’re in the best place we’ve ever been.”

Kenny teased that he’s “looking forward” to what’s next in their relationship.

The couple are also ready to change some things up if In the City gets renewed for a second season on Bravo.

Whitney’s mindset would be to “have a little bit more fun” this time around, she told Us.

“I feel like there [were] a lot of heavy topics this season,” she explained. “Also, continue to stand up for what’s right and your opinions. I think that’s aligned with who we are.”

Kenny agreed, adding, “You debate standing up and saying things that you feel are right in the moment. Do you do it for the risk of the fallout, or do you do it for what’s right? I think just continuing to be true to ourselves and our relationship and who we know we are, and just have fun.”

He concluded, “I think more fun, loose moments would be nice to see.”

The two-part In the City reunion begins on Bravo Tuesday, July 21, at 8:00 p.m. ET.
